Spurs began their pre-season campaign with a straightforward victory over League One opposition on Saturday.

Heung-min Son notched a first-half brace for Jose Mourinho's side following Ryan Sessegnon's early opener to wrap up a comfortable 3-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

New signings Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Joe Hart both made their Tottenham debuts in the friendly contest, with the former giving an assured display in midfield.

The familiar sound of 'Ready or not' is booming around a near-empty Tottenham Hotspur Stadium!

Mourinho has emerged with his Spurs side, and we're about ready to go!

Right then, we're just five minutes away from the 2020-21 season! This is Jose Mourinho's chance to build the squad in his shape.

What's evident in the warm-up is that Ledley King is out there working with both Alderweireld, Davies, Foyth and Gedson.

It could turn out a really shrewd move bringing him into the coaching staff - it can only do the likes of Dier, Sanchez and Tanganga good in the long-run.

The match today is being played at a behind closed doors Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as we saw following the restart last season.

However, that may not be the case for too long! The Mail report that discussions continue over a phased return of supporters to Premier League grounds from October 1, with capacity likely to be capped at 30 per cent.

And even more so, the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Manchester United could all welcome back in more fans than their Premier League rivals due to the size and age of their stadiums!

The report adds that older and smaller stadiums may only be allowed to have 20% capacity due to "narrow concourses and toilet areas". Everton's Goodison Park is name-checked, while Chelsea's 41,000-seater Stamford Bridge may fall into that category.

As you can see from the bench, there are a number of first-team players not included in the squad today.

Included are Aurier, Dier, Sanchez, Tanganga, Rose, Ndombele, Sissoko, Lo Celso, Lamela, Bergwijn and Kane.

According to Jonothan Veal of PA News, some of them are currently training at Hotspur Way.

So, we're about 30 minutes away from kick-off, where Jose Mourinho's first season in charge of Spurs begins.

This man will also get his first opportunity to impress!

Hojbjerg starts!

Well then, this is certainly an intriguing line-up from Jose Mourinho! The pick of the bunch is, of course, that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is starting next to Harry Winks in midfield!

The full-back pairing of Foyth and Sessegnon is also noteworthy, with Gedson also handed a start.

On the bench, there's room for Joe Hart, while Carter-Vickers is also present following his return from a loan spell at Luton.

Elsewhere, Clarke makes the bench, as well as new signing Alfie Devine, who is just 16!
