Gemma Collins has cemented her status as Queen of memes with her take on the Internet’s favourite moment from Lady Gaga’s new album.

When the singer released Chromatica, her sixth studio album, in May, fans were quick to note the dramatic transition between Chromatica II, an orchestral interlude, and the opening bass line of the following track, 911.

The transition has since inspired countless brilliant memes, with the closing notes of Chromatica II and the opening motif of 911 providing the perfect soundtrack for dramatic moments from TV and film.

Reality star Collins, 39, embraced the format by sharing a clip of herself plunging off a diving board and into a swimming pool with Gaga’s music playing in the background.

The video dates from her brief but memorable stint on aquatic reality show Splash back in 2014. Collins was eliminated in the first episode of the ITV show, which saw celebrities attempt to master diving, with Olympian Tom Daley acting as their mentor.

She captioned the post with another Gaga reference, this time a reference to Chromatica’s opening track Alice, which takes its lyrical cues from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland novels.

“MY NAME IS GEMMA and il [sic] keep looking for WONDERLAND ✌🏻 CHROMATICA @ladygaga,” she wrote.

Social media users have been admirably creative with their use of the Chromatica II transition, using it to counterpoint everything from over-the-top arguments on Coronation Street to Mulan’s dramatic transformation in the Disney animation.

Collins' back catalogue of reality TV slip-ups certainly contains further fodder for brilliant Gaga memes - surely it won't be long before we see Chromatica II soundtracking her memorable tumble at the Radio 1 Teen Awards, or her Dancing On Ice fall?
