Welcome to Standard Sport's LIVE coverage of Barcelona vs Bayern Munich.

Bayern outlined why they are the team to beat in this season's Champions League with a stunning 8-2 quarter-final demolition of Barcelona in Lisbon.

The German champions blitzed Barca with four goals in the opening 31 minutes, adding four more in the second, to set up a semi-final with Manchester City or Lyon.

It was a mesmerising performance, helped by a horror show from Barca as a brace from Thomas Muller was complemented by goals from Ivan Perisic and Serge Gnabry put them 4-1 up at the break.

Joshua Kimmich, Robert Lewandowski and a brace from Barca loanee Philippe Coutinho inflicted a heaviest ever European defeat on the Catalans as Hansi Flick's side ran riot.

Boss Quique Setien will pay the price for this embarrassment, coming after a limp end to their league campaign - and Standard Sport understands Mauricio Pochettino is the favourite to land the job as Barca plan an emergency meeting on Monday.

Barcelona injuries and suspensions

Ousmane Dembele has been given the green light to return for Barcelona after nine months on the sidelines and the French forward will be on the bench for the Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich on tonight.

Midfielders Sergio Busquets and Arturo Vidal are available after suspension, but Arthur Melo has been left out of the squad following his recent disciplinary problems and will not play for the Catalan club again ahead of summer switch to Juventus.

Centre-back Samuel Umtiti remains sidelined, while striker Martin Braithwaite is ineligible and can only feature in the final phase if a number of his team-mates test positive for coronavirus.

Arjen Robben, Thomas Muller and an own goal from Gerard Pique did the damage, with Messi an unused substitute at Camp Nou.

The Bavarians went on to claim an incredible Treble, beating Dortmund in the 2013 final at Wembley.

But Barcelona levelled when Luis Suarez squared for a tap-in from Neymar, who then added a second when the pair combined once again.

Despite late strikes from Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller, Barca progressed with some comfort - leaving Guardiola to lick his wounds after defeat against his former club.
