Premier League champions Liverpool maintained their perfect start to the season and ended Arsenal's unbeaten run as they came from behind to win 3-1 at Anfield.
Liverpool dominated the opening exchanges, but Alexandre Lacazette gave Arsenal the lead against the run of play following an Andy Robertson mistake.
However, Arsenal's advantage was short-lived: Sadio Mane equalised from close range, before Trent Alexander-Arnold set up Robertson to make amends and send Liverpool into half-time 2-1 ahead.
The match was delicately poised with Alisson Becker making a big save from Lacazette to deny Arsenal an equaliser - and Diogo Jota came off the bench to score on his Liverpool debut to seal a 3-1 win.

The full-back whips in a teasing cross which finds Mane and his first-time effort is blocked by Leno.
Arsenal need to find a way out of their half soon because they are starting to get snowed under now.

Liverpool are turning the screw and it's a deep cross from Alexander-Arnold which causes Leno to hesitate.
Van Dijk has a free header at the far post, nods in down at the ground and Luiz does well to head it clear.

The Egyptian has been following the Brazilian all over the pitch in these early exchanges and clearly, Arsenal see him as the creative hub up front for Liverpool.

Arteta has - perhaps sensibly - realised that the counter is going to be the best chance for goals tonight. Just look at what Leeds achieved on the opening day.
