Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal LIVE!

Premier League champions Liverpool maintained their perfect start to the season and ended Arsenal's unbeaten run as they came from behind to win 3-1 at Anfield.

Liverpool dominated the opening exchanges, but Alexandre Lacazette gave Arsenal the lead against the run of play following an Andy Robertson mistake.

However, Arsenal's advantage was short-lived: Sadio Mane equalised from close range, before Trent Alexander-Arnold set up Robertson to make amends and send Liverpool into half-time 2-1 ahead.

The match was delicately poised with Alisson Becker making a big save from Lacazette to deny Arsenal an equaliser - and Diogo Jota came off the bench to score on his Liverpool debut to seal a 3-1 win.

19 mins: Compare this Arsenal team to the ones we've seen lose over the years and it's almost unrecognisable.

Obviously in terms of personnel, but the style of play too. Arsenal look compact and willing to put their bodies on the line. Not sure you could say the same back in the last years of the Arsene Wenger era.

"It's all getting a bit last-ditch from Arsenal defensively right now. Holding has made two good blocks and Leno just pulled off a great save. They need to keep hold of the ball for a while to elevate some pressure."

15 mins: Mane denied by Leno!

Alexander-Arnold is looking very sharp tonight and everything Liverpool are creating is coming from that right-hand side.

The full-back whips in a teasing cross which finds Mane and his first-time effort is blocked by Leno.

Arsenal need to find a way out of their half soon because they are starting to get snowed under now.

12 mins: Chance for van Dijk!

Liverpool are turning the screw and it's a deep cross from Alexander-Arnold which causes Leno to hesitate.

Van Dijk has a free header at the far post, nods in down at the ground and Luiz does well to head it clear.

11 mins: For the first time, Liverpool get in behind the Arsenal back three and it's a fine block from Holding to snuff out Robertson's cross.

10 mins: Elneny seems to have one particular role tonight: tracking Firmino's movements.

The Egyptian has been following the Brazilian all over the pitch in these early exchanges and clearly, Arsenal see him as the creative hub up front for Liverpool.

"Arsenal are working very hard without the ball here early on. Lacazette in particular is chasing down Liverpool's centre-backs whenever they're in possession. Arteta is shouting encouragement from the side. He approves."

6 mins: As you would probably expect, Liverpool have taken a hold of the early possession and Arsenal are trying to stand up to them.

Arteta has - perhaps sensibly - realised that the counter is going to be the best chance for goals tonight. Just look at what Leeds achieved on the opening day.

3 mins: Mane has already had a small scuffle with Bellerin and now the Senegalese throws an arm out when challenging Tierney.

Craig Pawson decides a yellow card is sufficient and now Mane has got to be careful.
