Former Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu has described Lionel Messi as 'incredible', but believes Ronaldinho was even better than the Argentine great.

Messi and Ronaldinho were close friends and team-mates at Camp Nou, with the Argentine inheriting the Brazilian's no. 10 shirt following his exit in 2008.

The current Barca skipper has gone on to win six Ballons d'Or and has obliterated the club's all-time scoring record, with his current total standing at 635 official goals in 734 appearances.

"Messi is incredible," Deulofeu told new club Udinese's official website. "But for me, Ronaldinho is the best player ever.

"I met him. I went to watch a match at Camp Nou and he was sat next to me. It was a wonderful experience."

Deulofeu's career at Barcelona did not work out and the Catalan winger is now on loan at Udinese from Watford. The 26-year-old has also had spells at Everton, Sevilla and AC Milan.
