The highly-lucrative Super Bowl advert slots are one of the highlights of the annual sporting spectacle - with 2024 delivering some epic celebrity cameos.

Brands pay millions of dollars to secure a 30-second slot during the Super Bowl broadcast - which is one of the most-watching television events of the year.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce and Sir Anthony Hopkins were among the names to star in adverts in 2024.

Married couple Affleck and Lopez appeared in Dunkin's advertisement - after also starring in the 2023 advert for the fast food chain.

The comical advert sees the actor joined by former NFL star Tom Brady and actor Matt Damon as two members of his fictional rap entourage, called The DunKings.

The advert sees Affleck turn up at J.Lo’s recording studio in a bid to get his group on her latest track, much to her dismay.

Beyonce also appeared in a Verizon advert where she first teased new music before confirming two new tracks from her Renaissance project.

The advert sees the singer attempt to break the internet – inventing a “Beyonc-AI” robot, launching Bar-Bey, and flying a rocket to deliver the first performance from space.

At the end of the advert, Beyonce, 42, tells co-star Tony Hale: “Okay, they ready. Drop the new music.”

The singer then released two songs titled Texas Hold ‘Em, referencing the poker game named after the singer’s home state, and 16 Carriages.

Fans have eagerly been anticipating a new project from Beyonce, who initially released Act i: Renaissance in July 2022, later revealing it was part of a three-act project.

In December, Beyonce released a new single titled My House to commemorate the “opening weekend” of the Renaissance tour film which followed the music superstar on her 39-date world tour of the Grammy-winning album.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Sir Patrick Stewart and rapper Cardi B all starred in other adverts for various brands including NYX cosmetics, Paramount+ and STōK Cold Brew Coffee.

Meanwhile, a first look at upcoming films including Wicked and the Deadpool sequel were trailed during the Super Bowl adverts.

The teaser for the first instalment of Wicked showed Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande in the land of Oz in Jon M Chu’s upcoming musical.

Based on Gregory Maguire’s novel which inspired the Broadway hit, it precedes Dorothy’s arrival in Oz and tells the story of Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West.

The cast includes Oscar-winner Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero Tigelaar and Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz, who all star in the trailer.

The film will be released in the UK on November 28. Canadian star Ryan Reynolds and Australian actor Hugh Jackman also shared the screen in the first-look trailer of Deadpool & Wolverine.

The title of the upcoming third film in the franchise was announced during the trailer, which is set to premiere in the US on July 26.

The clip showed Reynolds’ anti-hero Deadpool making his introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as a shadow of Jackman’s Wolverine wrapped up the teaser.

Taylor Swift was in the crowd watching on boyfriend Travis Kelce, who plays for the Chiefs.
