Kylie Jenner has been criticised by fans for launching a “money-themed” cosmetics collection which has been described as “tone deaf”.

The businesswoman, 21, announced that she would be releasing the collection in honour of her 22nd birthday on Saturday.

Photographs posted by the youngest-ever billionaire feature make-up emblazoned with US dollars, 22 and the phrase “You’re $0 money baby.”

An eye shadow palette also features shadows named “work for it”, “on a budget” and “build your empire”.

But fans have described the collection as “tone deaf” and “showing off”.

Another said: “Wow showing off your money and calling us poor is a great marketing tactic,” and another fan said: “Kylie Jenner releasing a money themed makeup collection in honor of her birthday is so... tone deaf.”

Others asked why she doesn’t donate some of her wealth to those less-fortunate.

Jenner later responded saying that was her plan, stating: “We, I, am giving back. Actually, I do mean 'we' because we are doing this together. You guys are going to help me give back in a huge, huge way.

“All I wanted for my birthday was to do this money collection and give it all away.”

Several of her fans also praised the collection, with one saying: “Your best collection!” and another saying: “Oh my god, how amazing are these colours?”
