The countdown has begun for house builders — large or small — to submit their projects for the 28th annual Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2019.

Our awards are the most coveted in the country, giving developers and architects the chance to showcase homes and achieve recognition from the buying public.

Judging is independent, decided by a panel of property experts and Evening Standard readers.

Across 14 categories, the awards embrace the spectrum, from first-time buyer flats to luxurious mansions; from city centre high-rise towers to barn conversions, and from boutique apartment projects to large-scale regeneration schemes. Refurbishment projects qualify as well as new builds, including the retirement living sector.

Housing associations are encouraged to take part, and we look forward to entries for affordable and shared-ownership housing initiatives.

Showcase your scheme with high-quality photography and clear descriptions — and tell us about the architectural ambitions involved and any construction challenges overcome. In choosing award winners, judges will be looking for homes and developments that reflect, or exceed, current best practice in the housebuilding market.

Winners will be announced at a gala luncheon at The Dorchester Hotel on Friday 17 May.

The closing date for entries is Friday, February 1 2019.
