New Homes Awards 2018: apply now to join the judging panel and help select this year's best homes and developments

We are looking for 20 people with a passion for property who are avid readers of Homes & Property and would like to join the judging panel for the 2018 Evening Standard New Homes Awards.

You will join industry experts to choose the very best homes and developments in London and the South-East and will be a VIP guest at the glittering awards ceremony at The Dorchester Hotel in May.

A shortlist of schemes will be prepared by the team of experts, who will visit each site, but our reader judges will make the final decisions and choose the winners in each category.

You don't need any professional qualifications to be a reader judge — just bags of enthusiasm for good architecture and interior design.

The awards cover all sectors of the industry from starter homes to swish warehouse conversions, and from family houses to luxurious mansions. Judging is completely independent, so applicants should have no direct links to housebuilders and must not have been on the panel before.

How to apply to be a reader judge

Tell us in no more than 150 words why you should be on the panel, detailing all relevant knowledge or experience.

You would also have to be free for a couple of hours on the evening of March 1 to take part in the selection process in Kensington, and all day on April 5 for the final judging day.
