Elephant & Castle is one of the few places in high-priced Zone 1 where Help to Buy homes are on offer.
Eighteen one-bedroom flats priced below the £600,000 ceiling have been released at Elephant Park, in the heart of the wider £2.3 billion regeneration project.
Buyers can take advantage of a 40 per cent equity loan provided by the government, meaning they need put down a deposit of just five per cent, or £29,999.
