Basement to bachelor pad: a bright, airy one-bed in Lewisham by GQ favourite Maurizio Pellizzoni

A south-facing patio and garden add light and value to this basement flat with cheer.

London-based interior designer Maurizio Pellizzoni, who has worked on a wide range of projects including bachelor pads for British GQ magazine, has taken a dingy one-bedroom Lewisham basement flat and turned it into a bright, airy living space.

He removed walls to create an open-plan living room and kitchen/breakfast area lit by large French windows to a south-facing patio and garden.

There’s a super-sleek shower room and the option to buy all the fabulous designer furnishings and artwork, too.
