The Coach, newly opened in Clerkenwell, is an Instagram hit with designers and foodies.

It’s the latest restaurant from Henry Harris, former chef patron of Racine, Knightsbridge, whose loyal followers include TV chef Gizzi Erskine, pictured below, and three Michelin-star chef Pierre Koffmann.

Liana Goatman’s inspirational interior design merges the building’s Dickensian heritage with the area’s reputation as a creative hub.

The bar showcases British craftsmanship with oak-panelled walls and stained glass. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the garden flood the ground-floor dining room with light, while the first-floor dining room features teal walls and contemporary art.

Enjoy Harris’s creative spin on French and English dishes and come home with décor ideas.
