Celia Sandys, granddaughter and official biographer of Sir Winston Churchill, is selling Rivermill, her three-bedroom Thames-side flat, for £1.65 million with Russell Simpson and Jackson-Stops.

With direct views of the postmodern MI6 Headquarters — a regular fixture in the latest James Bond movies — the 1,821sq ft home includes a spacious reception room, two terraces and a study where Sandys has written five books about her grandfather.

She is pictured on the right of picture, above, with him in 1963.
