Noel Gallagher has reduced the price of his Little Venice home by more than £2.5million – the price of a townhouse in Islington or a flat in Whitehall – in a bid to find a buyer.

First listed for sale for £11.5million three years ago, the six-bedroom period property is located in one of the prettiest streets in the exclusive west London neighbourhood where Kate Moss and Kelly Osborne have been counted among residents.

Not much appears to have changed in Gallagher's home since it was first listed and the decor is surprisingly safe, but there’s a conservatory, a private terrace and Juliet balconies.

There is also a state-of-the-art gym in the basement and a self-contained mews house at the back.

Two for one: the conservatory leads to a self-contained mews house at the back of the property

The High Flying Birds frontman bought the semi-detached house next to Regent’s Canal for £8 million in 2010.

Despite being keen to sell, the former Oasis star, married to publicist Sara MacDonald, didn't seem under pressure to drop the asking price until fairly recently.

Now for sale for £8.95million, the price reduction also means buyers will pay £306,000 less Stamp Duty than they would have been eligible for at the previous asking price.
