For just £375,000 you could buy a Highgate flat designed by AHP, the Kent architects behind the renovation of Frogmore Cottage, home of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their two-month-old son, Archie.

Harry and Meghan’s lavish £2.4 million revamp of Frogmore Cottage in the grounds of Windsor Castle is said to have included turning a row of three separate houses back into one home and a studio flat, and adding a new “floating floor” plus two orangeries.

However, AHP’s more modest project in Makepeace Avenue, N6, involved the internal reconfiguration of two Tudor-style Twenties mansion blocks.

They were converted from outdated bedsit accommodation into modern flats.

The one for sale through Foxtons is on the fourth floor, with a charmingly retro feel and relaxing, leafy views. Here’s someone’s chance to live like a royal on a budget.
