The Irish mansion where Matt Damon spent lockdown is available to rent, close to the homes of U2’s Bono and The Edge as well as Van Morrison.

The Bourne films star lived in the sea-front house, said to be worth £7 million, in the sleepy, affluent suburb of Dalkey near Dublin while making his new movie, The Last Duel.

He settled in with his wife Luciana Barroso and their four daughters and they became fixtures in the community during lockdown.

They have since flown home to America and the house is back for rent on Airbnb.

Formerly the home of Formula One icon Eddie Irvine, the 5,000sq ft residence has five bedrooms, a pool, sauna and Jacuzzi.

There is also a large dining room and a study.

The locals will have plenty of tales of their encounters with Damon and once pubs reopen you can pop into Bono’s favourite local, Finnegan’s.
