The one that got away? Katy Perry lists one of her Hollywood mansions for sale after failing to sell both for £11.4 million

Unable to sell both of her Hollywood Hills mansions in one super-luxe package, singer Katy Perry has listed the larger of the two for sale for just over £7 million.

Katy Perry is selling one of two homes on her Hollywood Hills estate.

The pop singer, 32, who is dating London actor Orlando Bloom, previously listed both properties for sale for £11.4 million.

But the package failed to sell. Now, the Chained to the Rhythm singer has put the larger of the two, a Mediterranean-style house, on the market with an asking price of £7.09 million.

The four-bedroom main house comes with a guesthouse with a garage big enough for a limousine, a sprawling fitness building and a security guardhouse.

There is also a swimming pool with cabana, spa bath and a fountain, plus two acres of gardens that feature cultivated fruit trees.

In Runyon Canyon Park in the Santa Monica mountains, a favourite hiking spot for A-listers keeping in shape, Perry bought both the properties in 2013 for £8.6 million.

It is not yet known what the singer plans to do with the other property on her estate, a smaller modern-look home that was formerly owned by the parents of acting siblings Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal and then by Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg.

Perry moved into a former convent in Los Feliz, also in the Santa Monica mountains, in March after a legal battle with nuns who wanted to sell to a restaurateur. She also spent £14.5 million on a 5,400sq ft house in Beverly Hills.

With incredible views of Los Angeles, the singer's current home for sale is a tropical escape in the heart of the city. Perfect for a Katycat with deep pockets?
