The Earls Court flat where socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson was living when she died at the age of 45 sold in January for £2.3million, £200,000 less than the initial asking price.

Palmer-Tomkinson, who was a family friend of Prince Charles, was notorious for her hard-partying lifestyle in the Nineties, with a reported £400-a-day cocaine habit.

The daughter of a former Olympic skier and a former model, she was pictured on the cover of Tatler in 1996 after being photographed skiing with Prince Charles in Klosters the year before.

She was then signed up for a (ghostwritten) society column in the Sunday Times and became a regular fixture on the party circuit and then on TV, appearing in the first series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here in 2002.

But in later years the "It girl" led a quieter life and in 2005 bought the flat on the top two floors of a mansion block on a residential street for £1.7million.

The three-bedroom penthouse, where Palmer-Tomkinson is understood to have lain dead for five days before she was discovered by her cleaner, was refurbished by the executors of her estate, according to Mailonline, and now features neutral décor and lots of natural light.

The master bedroom with en-suite bathroom is filled with light from a triple bay window, and the third bedroom is currently used as a dressing room.

The large, open-plan living room features a full-width skylight and glass doors leading out onto a balcony with space for a table and chair set.

The flat also has access to the block’s communal gardens.
