Holly Willoughby has been granted planning permission to revamp her south-west London home.

The This Morning presenter and her husband Dan Baldwin applied to convert their garage into a one-bedroom en-suite studio flat in April.

It has just been given the green light by the local authority.

Willoughby wants to add a second storey onto the brick garage at the end of her garden with the intention of it becoming the home of her au pair.

This will be the ninth set of renovations at their six-bedroom Barnes home in seven years.

The couple bought their house for £2.8 million in 2012. It helped inspire Willoughby’s bed linen range for Dunelm.

With three children and hectic work commitments, the pair told planners they needed help around the home but wanted the au pair to enjoy independent living space.
