This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby and her television executive husband Dan Baldwin want to build a one-bedroom apartment for the au pair at their home in Barnes, south-west London.

They are hoping to get lucky with the 13th planning application they have submitted since buying their six-bedroom house for £2.8 million in 2012. The house has helped inspire Willoughby’s bed linen range for Dunelm.

The couple plan to add a second floor and an en suite to the garage at the bottom of the garden.

With three children and hectic work commitments, the pair tell planners they need help around the home but want the au pair to enjoy independent living space.
