John Cleese is clearly serious about his "Brexit exit" from Britain.

Last month the Vote Leaver declared he was getting out of the country because he was “so disappointed” with the standard of debate during and since the EU referendum.

He put his lovely Grade II-listed house near Bath on the market for £2.7 million. Now, we can reveal, he has engaged Dexters to sell his London pied-à-terre as well.

The smart one-bedroom flat just off Sloane Square is apparently immaculate, due in part to the onsite caretaker, and has a very welcome south-facing terrace.

The Fawlty Towers star is seeking £1.25 million for it.

Cleese, 78, intends to relocate with his wife, Jennifer, to the Caribbean island of Nevis — population 11,000 — which is part of St Kitts and Nevis, a dual-island nation with no income tax.

He says his wife loves Nevis and they will be setting up a new life there.
