Darling Buds Barn, best known for its starring role as the family home in hit ITV comedy drama The Darling Buds of May, is on the market.

The original Nineties show — an adaptation of novels by HE Bates about the raucous adventures of the Larkin family in rural Fifties England — starred David Jason as Pop Larkin and Catherine Zeta-Jones as his beautiful, flirtatious daughter Mariette.

A remake of the series is set to be filmed with Bradley Walsh taking the lead.

The Kent barn conversion also comes with a separate shepherd's hut in four acres of a quiet, rural farmstead.

The barn is mainly arranged on the ground floor and has a reception room with a double-height, vaulted timber ceiling.

There is a cinema screen in the living room — where the new owners could watch reruns of the show and imagine themselves on set and in character.
