He's arrived: how to decorate a royal baby-inspired nursery just like the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Kensington Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced the birth of their third child — and second son — on St George's Day.

The name of the newborn, who weighed in at 8 lb 7 oz, is yet to be announced, but the nursery at Kensington Palace is all set to welcome the new arrival home.

Although it's unknown exactly how the new baby's space will be decorated, we take a look at interior brands and children's shops the royal couple have patronised in the past so you can replicate the royal look in your own home.

Kate Middleton is said to be a huge Beatrix Potter fan and the nursery at Anmer Hall in Norfolk is decorated with much-loved characters from the author's children’s books.

Dragons of Walton Street in Knightsbridge was commissioned to create Prince William’s nursery when he was a baby, and Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddleduck and the gang adorn their large chest of drawers, costing £2,067.90.

Back in 2013 when pregnant with her first baby, Prince George, Kate was snapped with a newly-purchased wicker Moses basket from London brand Blue Almonds.

The basket is believed to have been used for Princess Charlotte too.

Still available for £195, it's a stylish pale grey colour with a bonnet-style hood and decorative bows.

William and Kate also revealed to IKEA's head of design Marcus Engman that they had a few pieces from the brand in George's nursery during their Scandinavian tour.
