A £1 million makeover: from unloved 30s house to a crystal palace

Lilian Lousky, founder and creative director of Hatton Garden jewellery company Tresor Paris, brought her work home with her - transforming an unloved Thirties house in north-west London by cramming it with twinkling stones. She and her husband bought the place for £1 million and spent almost the same again doing it up. Now, from the 16ft-long sparkling chandelier to the gem-encrusted fake fruit, it truly is their crystal palace...
