Go Dutch: latest Soho House opening in Amsterdam inspires new take-home interiors collection
Soho House is rapidly becoming a global empire, with the latest instalment of the exclusive members-only club about to open its doors in Amsterdam this summer.
Perched above one of the Dutch city's picturesque canals in a 1930s building on the Singel Canal, the original architecture of Soho House Amsterdam is inflected with Art Deco, Art Nouveau and Amsterdam School influences.
The hotel's 79 bedrooms are decorated with elegant Art Deco furniture and lighting, with fabrics inspired by the original windows of the members' club's historic façade.
"We’ve kept the palette colourful throughout the House to counter the grey weather in Amsterdam – it’s beautiful during the summer months, but then you have nine months of rain and fog," says Linda Boronkay, Soho House Design Director.
"As soon as you enter the building, a courtyard brings in natural light, where we’ve introduced lots of plants to act as an indoor/outdoor space – we wanted to create a little oasis."
The club also features one of the chain's signature rooftop swimming pools.
Cecconi’s Restaurant on the ground floor is open to non-members, and there's a Cowshed Spa and private hire rooms.

Now the Soho Home lifestyle brand has released a 30-piece interiors collection specially designed for Soho House Amsterdam, to tie in with the club's opening.
Launching on July 31, highlights from the new range include the geometric Jordaan rug named after Amsterdam's trendiest neighbourhood, from £395, and a patterned throw, which has been inspired by the stained glass windows of Soho House Amsterdam, yours for £295.
Soho House's signature stripy towels have been given a blue, green and white stripe for the rooftop pool at the new Amsterdam house. buy your own for £55.
