Find love among the roses in a fun and fragrant speed-dating event at the London Plant & Design Show this Valentine's Day
If you're looking for love this coming Valentine's Day, head for the halls - the RHS horticultural halls in Greycoat St, SW1 - at cocktail hour.

For the RHS is playing Cupid, and is exclusively inviting single Homes & Property readers to find love among the roses and camellias in a fun and fragrant speed-dating event at its London Plant & Design Show. To qualify, you need to be aged between 25 and 35 and, preferably, be passionate about plants, giving you common ground.

"Since time began, flowers have been associated with love," says Bob Sweet, head of shows development at the RHS.

"So what better way to fall head over heels than to be surrounded by the perfect petals and sensual perfumes of over 40 floral displays?"

Glasses of champagne and passionfruit juice, as well as nibbles, will be served at 6pm to calm any pre-dating nerves. The speed dating will run from 6.30-7.30pm.

To secure your place - and possibly your romantic future - email RHS speed dating co-ordinator Ed Horne at edhorne@rhs.org.uk by midnight on Monday February 13, at the latest.

Those who don't find romance can console themselves with the pick of the early spring-flowering plants and shrubs, brought in by the country's finest nurseries. The show runs from 10am until 7pm, but nurserymen will stay on to take purchases at the speed dating event.

Come in earlier, and see ideas for small-space gardening as well as ask advice from the RHS design team. Admission to the show, with or without speed dating, is £8. Tuesday February 14, 10am-7pm; Wednesday 15, 10am-5pm. RHS members, free entry to show only.
