Selena Gomez released her eagerly awaited album Rare and in the lyrics, she's talking about everything she's been through in the last five years since her last album, Revival.

Gomez dropped hints about the album for months, teasing the album in cryptic Instagram posts and promising her fans "you’re going to have an understanding of where I am, where I was, and I’m excited about that."

It's a bit of a departure from her usual sound - she only works with her frequent collaborators and songwriters Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels on three tracks, two of which have already been released as singles: the breakup ballad 'Lose You To Love Me' (which was full of Bieber digs) and the more upbeat 'Look At Her Now.'

One thing that's the same? SelGo seems to still be discussing her long term, on and off again relationship with Justin Bieber if the lyrics are anything to go on. Of course, they could also be about her time spent with the Weeknd, but many feel specifically aimed at Bieber.

Gomez, 27, seemingly alludes to her ex in multiple songs on the album, including 'Vulnerable,' 'People You Know' and of course, 'Lose You to Love Me.'

In 'Vulnerable,' the popstar sings, "If I show you all my demons, and we dive into the deep end / Would we crash and burn like every time before? I would tell you all my secrets, wrap your arms around my weakness / If the only other option’s letting go."

It certainly sounds like she's discussing an on and off again relationship much like the one she shared with Bieber, who she split with for good in 2018. He went on to marry model Hailey Baldwin in September of that year.

'People You Know' is also likely about their rocky relationship. She sings, "So many wasted nights with you / I still could taste it. I hate it, wish I could take it back 'cause we use to be close / But people can go / From people you know to people you don’t...When it was good, we were on fire / Now I’m breathin’ ashes and dust / I always wanna get higher / I never know when enough is enough."

But 'Kinda Crazy' might be the most intense lyrics if it is, in fact, about the Biebs.

Gomez sings, "I think you’re kind of crazy / And not the good kind, baby / ‘Cause you’re actin’ super shady / You know it, you know it / Been dodgin’ phone calls lately / But still textin’ me baby...You’ve been lyin’ just for fun / Luckily, no damage done,” she sings on the track. In the past, there were rumors Bieber was cheating and Gomez's longtime best friend Taylor Swift even seemingly confirmed them when she liked a shady post about the 'Sorry' singer.

Others on Twitter think the song is calling out Charlie Puth, who spoke openly about briefly dating Gomez and said it "really messed [him] up." And of course, it's entirely possible it's a swing at The Weeknd.

The most obvious callout is towards the end of the album on 'Cut You Off,' as she opens with, "Gotta chop, chop all the extra weight I’ve been carrying for fourteen-hundred-sixty days." Selenators quickly realized that four years equals 1,460 days exactly, which is (you guessed it) the exact amount of time she spent with Bieber. Unsurprisingly, Gomez's fans are enjoying the shade on Twitter.

Gomez goes on to sing, "And I might as well just tell you while I’m drunk, yeah / The truth is that I think I’ve had enough / Professionally messin’ with my trust / How could I confuse that sh*t for love?"

Now that the Biebs is back with 'Yummy' perhaps he'll release his own album full of breakup songs.
