Joe Biden's granddaughter has blasted US President Donald Trump for his behaviour during the rancorous TV debate with his rival contender for the White House.
Naomi Biden, 26, expressed her contempt for Mr Trump on Twitter after the US leader repeatedly interrupted Mr Biden during the debate in Cleveland.
"I wouldn't have survived 5 minutes on that stage without slapping him across the face - and I don't think I'm alone in thinking that," she wrote.
Referring to previous claims made by Mr Trump's campaign that Mr Biden would use an earpiece and performance enhancing drugs during the debate, Ms Biden continued: "So tell me how someone Trump calls "sleepy joe" and says is on uppers could wade through an hour and a half of this nonsense."
She also went on to denounce Mr Trump as the "worst president in American history" and urged her followers to vote him out of office in the US' upcoming November 3 poll.
"Vote. Because it matters," she said.
Tuesday's ill-tempered debate initially began in a civil manner, with the president striding deliberately to his lectern and Mr Biden, a former vice president under Barack Obama, nodding to his opponent and asking, “How you doing, man?”
But it soon descended into a furious debate, as the two exchanged personal barbs.
Among Mr Trump's targets was the international business practices of Mr Biden's son and Naomi Biden's father, Hunter Biden.
The Democrat called the claims against his son Hunter “discredited” and fired back: “I mean, his family we can talk about all night.”
