Hot off the heels of the first ever UK series of Drag Race, RuPaul has confirmed plans for another new version of the show.

The Emmy award-winning star will be leading the hunt for the first ever celebrity drag superstar in new series featuring famous faces trying their hand at drag.

Ru, 58, announced the news with a statement which read: “Doing drag does not change who you are, it reveals who you are.

“I can’t wait for the world to see what happens when our celebrity contestants get all up in drags!”

Vanity Fair reports that each episode will see three celebrity guests transform themselves into drag queens - but they won’t be doing it alone.

Each star will receive a little help from a Drag Race contestant and those who have signed up include Asia O’Hara, Bob the Drag Queen, Monét X Change, Nina West, Trinity the Tuck and, of course, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo.

The ongoing series of Drag Race UK has proven to be a huge hit with fans and this week’s episode will see the remaining queens take on Snatch Game.

The celebrity guests will be Lorraine Kelly and Stacey Dooley.
