Revolution Bars has joined the list of companies deciding to extend the Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

A number of firms have welcomed a boost in trade thanks to the government discount scheme which has enticed customers to eat-out.

The promotion, aimed at helping the hospitality sector recover from the virus crisis, offers people a discount of up to 50% on Mondays to Wednesdays in August on food and soft drinks in a participating restaurant, pub or cafe. There is a maximum discount of £10 per head.

Firms deduct the money off the bill and claim it back from the government. Revolution Bars said it will extend the offer across its Revolution and Revolucion de Cuba sites in September.

Guests will get 50% off food and soft drinks, including mocktails, from Monday to Wednesday throughout next month.

The company, led by Rob Pitcher, closed its 74 branches in March when the Covid-19 lockdown started. It was allowed to start reopening them from July 4, in line with government guidelines.

Other firms are also looking to extend the Eat Out to Help Out scheme.
