The All Blacks may be focusing on winning the World Cup, but Waisaki Naholo, Keven Mealamu, and Beauden Barrett were clearly keen to catch up with the news on a recent Tube trip.

The players were spotted leafing through the Evening Standard after their open-top bus tour of the capital with sponsor AIG following New Zealand’s 58-14 win over Namibia last week.

All Blacks hooker Keven Mealamu told the Standard: “We’ve been lucky enough to get around and see some of the cool sights. Usually when we get to travel here, we’re not here for really long so it’s been a good opportunity for us to get around and see some of the sights.

“We’ve been looked after really well in London and everyone has really been enjoying the competition so far.”

The tournament favourites have been based at the Lensbury hotel in Teddington, which includes a full size rugby pitch.
