Watford boss Vladimir Ivic only wants players to stay at Vicarage Road if they are committed to getting the club back to the Premier League.

Interest is high in a number of Watford’s players after they were relegated to the Championship and some are expected to leave before next month’s transfer deadline.

Villarreal are pushing to sign left-back Pervis Estupinan for around £14million, while Marseille want forward Luis Suarez and captain Troy Deeney is on West Brom’s radar.

Deeney, who is injured for tonight’s Carabao Cup tie at Oxford, has vowed not to force a move and a decision over his future is yet to be made.

“I want to work and be with the guys who want to be here. This is the first thing,” said Ivic.

“For me it is very, very important that the players with us they want to be here - and they want to work hard, they want to be part of Watford.

“If we have these kind of players, that are mentally here in their mind, we can do something. If the players don’t want to be here, it is totally different.

“The transfer window stays open until October and we will see what is going to happen.”
