Premier League football returns today as Manchester City and Arsenal face off at the Etihad, with Mikel Arteta pitting his wits against his former boss Pep Guardiola.
Arteta left his role as Guardiola's assistant in December to take over as Arsenal's head coach, and both managers are in need of a win as top-flight football resumes 100 days after being shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.
There will be no fans in attendance at the Etihad this evening, with strict social distancing protocols in place for staff, coaches and players at the stadium to minimise the spread of Covid-19.
The match will undoubtedly look, sound and feel very different to the beautiful game English fans have become accustomed to, and it will take time to adapt to the new normal.
However, there is plenty of relief that football has been able to return at all this season, and there are high hopes that two of the top sides in the Premier League can deliver a spectacle in Manchester.
