Jadon Sancho to Manchester United: Dortmund star 'not running out of time' to seal transfer, says Roman Burki

Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho should not rush his proposed move to Manchester United, according to team-mate Roman Burki.

Standard Sport understands the 20-year-old is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's top target this summer and the two clubs are still in talks over a move, with Dortmund demanding £108m for the England international.

United are assessing other targets if they are unable to strike a deal for the England international, with Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman a potential alternative.

Sancho has joined the Bundesliga outfit's pre-season tour of Austria and shone in a 11-2 thrashing of Austria Vienna, scoring one and creating three assists.

And Dortmund goalkeeper Burki thinks Sancho should be patient and wait another season before deciding to head back to England.

"Jadon will still be a top player next year," Burki told Kicker. "He's not running out of time."

"I don't think Jadon is sad to continue to be part of Borussia Dortmund. He comes to training with a smile and is happy to be with us."

Discussing his transfer plans after Sunday’s defeat to Sevilla, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer refused to comment about Sancho.

However, the Norwegian insisted they were only looking for the "right personality" for new additions: “I cannot say when or if transfers will be done, but we are looking at it.

"We have to be 100 percent sure when we make those deals. It's not about a marquee signing, it's about quality. The right personality that fits into the group.
