Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp is hoping to steal Celtic’s prize asset Gary Hooper with a bid of £4 million plus add-ons.

However, the recently relegated side may struggle to persuade the striker to move to the Championship when he has also sparked interest from Premier League sides Hull and Norwich.

Celtic are reportedly reluctant to part with the striker for anything under £8million after they rejected Norwich’s bid of £6million on transfer deadline day.

Hull manager Steve Bruce has made the 25-year-old his top target this summer and the club could return with an improved offer.

Hooper, who is currently in Germany on pre-season training, has made it clear to manager Neil Lennon and the clubs hierarchy that he intends to leave this summer along with goakeeper Fraser Forster, in order to pursue his international ambitions.
