Thiago Silva’s wife Belle has apologised for her post on social media in which she called for change at Chelsea.

Belle posted a cryptic message on X after Saturday’s 4-2 home defeat to Wolves turned up the pressure on Mauricio Pochettino, saying: “It’s time to change. If you wait any longer it will be too late.”

The comments left figures inside Chelsea unimpressed and Pochettino held clear-the-air talks with Thiago Silva at Cobham this week.

Belle, who is a TV personality and influencer, has now publicly apologies for her comments.

Posting on X, she said: “I'm sorry that my personal outburst as a passionate Chelsea fan has caused such an impact.

“I'm passionate about the team, I thrive on victories and I'm saddened by defeats. We all want the same thing, a winning team, come on Chelsea.”

Pochettino refused to divulge what was said between him and Thiago Silva, but said: “The important thing is he came and wanted to talk with me. We are a very strong coaching staff and [he knows] the way we operate.

“We talked and I think that was private. It's a private thing to keep inside.”

When asked if their relationship was good, Pochettino said: "Well, you can ask [him]. I think it's always been good.”
