Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has won the Premier League Golden Glove after recording 16 clean sheets in his debut season for the Gunners.
Cech proved to be a key member of an Arsenal squad that secured a second-placed finish on Sunday - their best league position in 11 years.
Joe Hart was previously the solo holder of the most Premier League Golden Gloves, but Cech’s fourth this season matches the Manchester City stopper’s record.
As well as winning this term, the Czech international has won the accolade three times in 11 seasons for Chelsea.
Cech has beaten off competition from City’s Hart, Leicester's Kasper Schmeichel and Manchester United’s David De Gea, who all entered the final fixture of the season having kept opponents out 15 times, but failed to do so in the last round of matches.
De Gea came teasingly close to matching Cech’s 16 clean sheets on Tuesday during United’s postponed fixture against Bournemouth, but a last-minute own goal by Chris Smalling ensured that it was Arsenal's stopper who collected the prize after the Gunners' 4-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday.
The experienced goalkeeper has been a stalwart for Arsene Wenger’s side this season, making 34 appearances and conceding just 31 goals, helping Arsenal achieve the third-best defensive record in the Premier League behind rivals Tottenham and United.
