Arsenal have confirmed they are continuing to pay staff in full and do not currently intend to fall back on the government's furlough scheme during the Premier League shutdown.

The Gunners also say talks are ongoing with players over wage deferrals.

The club’s executive team has also agreed to waive more than a third of their earnings over the next 12 months with casual workers to be paid until the end of May.

A statement from the club read: "We have made it clear to them that we are not considering redundancies, and we are fully focussed on protecting their well-being, jobs and salaries.

"All our employees are receiving their full salaries and we plan to continue this. We are not currently intending to use the Government’s furlough scheme."

The club say there are 'productive and ongoing conversations' with players on how they can support the club through the ‘potential financial challenges ahead’.
