Eden Hazard embarrasses three-year-old son during Chelsea's end of season celebrations

Eden Hazard has had an underwhelming season for Chelsea, failing to live up to the reputation he earned last term for tormenting his Premier League opponents.

But during Chelsea’s post-season celebration on the pitch at Stamford Bridge, the Belgian reminded the Blues' faithful of the Hazard of old – keeping possession with intricate footwork and leaving humiliated defenders in his wake.

However, the latest victim of Hazard’s trickery - his three-year-old son, Leo - is perhaps a better reflection of the calibre of performance on show this season from the 2014/15 Chelsea Player of the Year.

Eden was seen rolling a ball around the feet of his on-rushing son, before dragging it back as he attempts a tackle, toppling the youngster face first into the Stamford Bridge turf.

However, Leo shows his resilience, getting back up, hurrying towards the ball and timing a more patient second challenge, only for Hazard senior to keep possession by knocking the ball away from the toddler’s foot.

Leo Hazard’s final attempt at dispossessing his father ends with the Belgium international losing control of the ball after a heavy touch before tripping his determined son as he skips away from him.

The Hazard family’s kick-about after Chelsea’s conclusive Premier League game – a 1-1 draw against newly-crowned champions Leicester City - topped off a final few games that have seen vastly improved performances from the 25-year-old.

This upturn in form has led to Hazard being announced as Belgium’s captain for Euro 2016 this summer after what has been an underwhelming season for a player that was pivotal in Chelsea’s title winning 2014/15 campaign.

Perhaps Eden’s performance against his son could the confidence boost needed to recapture the form that earned him comparison with the very best players in the world last season.
