Phil Parkinson reckons Charlton's survival hopes are looking up, thanks to arch-rivals Crystal Palace, writes Andrew Fifield.

The right-back, 29, has moved to the Valley on loan for the rest of the season after finding first team opportunities limited at Selhurst Park and finds himself reunited with fellow Eagles loanees Darren Ward and Tom Soares, and Mark Hudson.

Parkinson said: "I'm delighted that we've been able to sign a player of Danny's high calibre and experience. He knows our captain Mark Hudson well from their time together at Palace, along with Darren and Tom. So there are familiar faces, which helps."
