France vs Germany betting tips: Germans are slight favourites to spoil hosts' party at Euro 2016

The bookmakers expected France and Germany to reach the semi-finals of the Euros but they are finding it difficult to work out who will prevail in Marseille.

France, who headed the outright betting at the start of the competition, are 9-5 to win at Stade Velodrome in 90 minutes, while the Germans, who were second favourites in the antepost market, can be backed at 19-10 and the draw is 2-1.

Surprisingly, given how each team reached the last four of the competition, Joachim Low’s side are now BetVictor’s 13-8 tournament favourites.

Germany needed penalties to see off Italy, while the hosts, who are 7-4 to win the Euros, spanked Iceland 5-2.

The Germans have looked solid at the back, conceding just one goal in five matches, and France’s main strength appears to be in attack – they are the tournament’s top scorers with 11 goals.

A French win in 90 minutes and less than four goals in the match is 85-40 and a German victory without them conceding a goal is 17-5.

Antoine Griezmann’s goal against Iceland made him the competition’s top scorer with four and BetVictor offer an eye-catching 18-1 on him netting before the 15^th minute of the game. He is also 4-1 to score in a France win.

Another penalty shoot-out win for the Germans is 9-1 and you can get 85-40 on Thomas Muller scoring his first goal of the tournament during the game (90 minutes only).
