Peter Andre has admitted that he and wife Emily MacDonagh are still no closer to deciding on a name for their daughter almost a month after she was born.

The Mysterious Girl singer, 51, and doctor MacDonagh, 34, are in a race against time now as in the UK it is a legal requirement that the birth of a child is registered within 42 days. After that, a reminder letter will be sent.

Failure to register your child's birth after 12 months has elapsed can result in a fine of up to £200.

The Aussie star and MacDonagh already share daughter Amelia, 10, and son Theo, seven. Their family also includes Andre’s two older children Junior Andre, 18, and Princess Andre, 16, from his previous marriage to Katie Price.

Previously, Andre said he was personally keen on the names “Olivia, Charlotte and Athena,” but that MacDonagh wasn’t keen.

Writing in his latest column for OK! Magazine, he has confirmed that those monikers are now officially “off the table”.

He told the publication: "Emily has been making an amazing recovery since the birth… but as I write this we still don’t have a name! We were in the exact same situation when we had Millie. We went round in circles for weeks, but it’s not until you meet a baby that you truly know their name.

"We don’t have long now until we need to register her, so the clock is ticking. I loved Olivia, Charlotte and Athena, but Emily didn’t get too excited about those, so they’re off the table. It’s a big decision! Someone on Instagram told us the best hack when trying out different names, and that‘s to write it out in a card.

"So, pretend you’re writing a birthday or Christmas card to someone and sign it ‘from Peter, Emily, Junior, Princess, Millie, Theo…’ and then add the new name at the end. I think that’s an amazing idea. Watch this space!"

Andre confirmed that their family had expanded in a sweet post on social media earlier this month.

Alongside images of him and MacDonagh meeting their little girl for the first time, he wrote: "Just minutes old……We feel so overwhelmed right now. So happy to welcome our beautiful girl to the family. Mum and daughter are doing amazing. Born Tuesday 2nd April 2024, 7lb 3oz and thankfully very healthy. Baby has been spoilt with cuddles from Junior, Princess, Amelia and Theo who are all in love with their new little sister. As parents, we couldn't be happier.

"Thanks to all the doctors, midwives and staff at Musgrove Park Hospital Taunton. You were incredible. And Emily's parents, whom I adore. You have both been incredible. I'm so happy. Just off to hold her. Thanks everyone for reading.”
