Taylor Swift's reaction to Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes' steamy AMAs performance is so relatable

Taylor Swift was left shocked after Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s American Music Awards performance.

The singer, 29, watched open mouthed as Mendes and Cabello caressed each other and danced closely during their performance of their hit song, Senorita, at the ceremony in Los Angeles.

Cuban-American pop star Cabello, 22, and Mendes, 21, gazed into each other’s eyes during the song, before she leaned back into the Canadian singer's arms on Sunday night.

Cameras filming the show then cut to Swift, who was seen looking open-mouthed at the couple before excitedly clinging to Billy Porter as it looked like the pair were about to kiss.

But Mendes and Cabello did not kiss on stage, much to the chagrin of the audience.

The couple won collaboration of the year in a category also containing Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s Shallow, Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ Old Town Road, Marshmellow and Bastille’s Happier and Post Malone and Swae Lee’s Sunflower.

During their acceptance speech, Cabello thanked Mendes’s mother, Karen, as well as the fans who voted for them.

It is not the first time they have performed Senorita – which reached number one in the UK singles charts - live.

The couple, who have been dating since July, previously stunned audiences with their public display of affection at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.

Their performance saw Joe and Nick Jonas, Sophie Turner and Swift go wild as they nearly kissed on stage.

After the show, Joe, 30, posted on Instagram: “VMAs are over but we’re still waiting for that kiss though @Camila_Cabello @Shawnmendes.”

Cabello and Swift are close friends after Cabello was an opening act for Swift during her Reputation stadium tour in 2018.
