Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse has posted a gushing tribute to “absolute queen” Cheryl, slamming reports of a “feud” between the pair.

Reports claimed that the two Dance Captains on upcoming show The Greatest Dancer had locked horns backstage on the BBC show .

But Strictly pro Mabuse, who danced with Graeme Swann in the most recent series, posted a photo of her and Cheryl hugging as she slammed claims of “tension”.

Mabuse wrote: “THERE’S ABSOLUTELY NO TENSION between @cherylofficial and myself. This beautiful woman has been nothing but caring, accepting and guiding towards me, she’s funny, smart and honest.

“@cherylofficial sis you’re an absolute QUEEN I love you dearly and cannot wait to work with you. If anything I feel privileged and honoured to even be picked to share the same panel as you.”

Mabuse urged fans to turn into the show, which is set to debut in January, to see the brand new competition in action.

Former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl hit back at the reports earlier, with a representative for the star blasting the “fabricated” reports.

A spokesperson told Standard Online: “It’s a fabricated story - yet again trying to pit female against female on a TV show. It’s a shame we haven’t moved past this.

“Cheryl absolutely loves working with Oti and has a brilliant relationship with her.”

A spokesperson for The Greatest Dancer said: “Both Cheryl and Oti have a great relationship and this comes across on screen. There is absolutely no truth to any suggestion they don’t get on.”
