Jackie Chan thinks he’s got what it takes to beat Sylvester Stallone in a fight — because he can outrun him.

The martial arts legend, 60, said that if the pair ever had to square up to each other, he’d have the advantage.

He said: “I can run faster than him. He could never chase me. If I was fighting Chinese martial arts, I’d win, but if we were using boxing gloves, I’d definitely lose.

“In the ring I think he can knock me down as he’s really big and powerful.”

Stallone has said that he’s keen to cast Chan in Expendables 4 after failing to lure him to join the recently released third instalment of the action franchise.

Chan, who was in London this week to promote the DVD release of his film Chinese Zodiac, admitted he was tempted to sign up but only if the part was right.

“I want a big role,” he said. “I don’t want to show up for just two seconds and then disappear from the whole movie.”

He added: “I believe for the next five years I can still fight. Look at Stallone. He’s 68. Schwarzenegger. He’s 67. Let’s see what happens.”
