History
Tan y Coed was formerly the Old School House, where the daily school was held at the beginning of the last century. The School House was registered to hold a public service there in 1819.

Tan y Coed is situated in the hamlet of Boduan and the nearby village of Nefyn (2 miles) offers basic shopping facilities together with a school, a range of hotels and restaurants. Pwllheli is located some 5 miles away and is a thriving market town and seaside resort with an impressive 400 plus berth Marina with 24 hour access. Pwllheli has a range of facilities including hotels, shops, banks, post office and a comprehensive range of amenities. Snowdonia National Park is within driving distance which has a great scope for outdoor recreation with canoeing, sailing and a whole range of mountain activities available.
