Hot homes: riverside warehouse conversions

By Kristy Gray
Smart warehouse conversions appeal to Londoners because they offer flexible living space - and plenty of it - plus natural light. Many of the capital’s Victorian storehouses, granaries and factories have been transformed into adaptable live-work homes in prime locations along the banks of the Thames.

Many of these striking apartments are full of historic character detail, retaining the original exposed brickwork and chunky beams, while dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows, contemporary fittings and design features ensure these homes are ideal for modern living.

Take a look inside some of London’s most iconic warehouse conversions as we take a property tour east along the river, from Shad Thames and Wapping to Woolwich.
