Hot homes: south-east London for less than £250,000

By Kristy Gray
First-time buyers should start their home search this weekend at the Affordable Homes Show at the Oval cricket ground. It focuses on south London and its great-value areas in zone 2 and on the fringes of zone 1.

The free event is a great place to question the experts, discover the best developers, and come to grips with the buying process for part-buy and low-cost home ownership opportunities in some of London’s most affordable postcodes.
Click here for full details of the South London Affordable Homes Show.

We take a property tour south of the river to find good-value homes in Camberwell, riverside Bermondsey and Rotherhithe, arty Deptford and New Cross, historic Greenwich and leafy Sydenham and Dulwich.
