Munster Village, SW6
Munster Village in Fulham has rows of charming neat terrace homes and spacious family houses
Beyond the antiques shops and organic cafés of Fulham’s Munster Road is a sought after residential neighbourhood referred to for centuries as “Munster Village” — an enclave of tree-lined streets with handsome Victorian and Edwardian homes and charming clusters of local shops, boutiques and restaurants.

This area lies in the middle of Dawes Road, Fulham Road and Fulham Palace Road. The heart of the "village" starts at Bishops Road and takes in the streets leading to Bronsart Road.

Its excellent transport links, good schools and parks appeal to young professionals and families keen to renovate and extend homes to create extra rooms and flexible living spaces.

Local estate agent Emma Hanks of Douglas and Gordon in Fulham says: "Munster Village attracts a range of buyers because of the variety of property in the area, from "starter homes" and pieds–à–terre to large terrace houses.

"As prices in neighbouring Chelsea continue to rise in response to demand from international buyers, Fulham has become increasingly popular with Chelsea residents looking to upsize. The variety of schools and nurseries close to Munster Village makes it an ideal location for families, plus there are plenty of green spaces and parks just a short walk away."

Josh Rault of Chesterton Humberts in Munster Road agrees: "For family buyers, the short walk west towards the Thames leads to the open spaces of Bishops Park and the local river walks, offering a country atmosphere without having to leave London. For young buyers, the Munster Village area offers better transport facilities while the prices can be considerably less than in nearby Parsons Green."

We take a property tour to discover neat terrace houses, maisonettes and spacious multi-storey homes offering family living in the city.
