The secret is out — singer Katie Melua and former World Superbike champion James Toseland have tied the knot at the Nash Conservatory in Kew’s Royal Botanic Gardens, and have chosen Melua’s Holland Park pad as their marital home.

With two bedrooms and a lovely landscaped garden, the period conversion offers plenty of space for the handsome couple — though Toseland will have to stamp his mark on the place. Melua, 27, bought it with the intention of living alone — splashing out £40,000 on a recording studio so she could work from home.

Of course, if the newlyweds fancy a holiday they can visit 31-year-old Toseland’s house on the Isle of Man or his villa on the French Riviera.

Julian's inspiration for Brief's Encountered

Julian Clary’s usual living arrangements are a world away from his confined Celebrity Big Brother surroundings. The camp comic splits his time between a cosy Camden flat and a 15th-century mansion in Kent.

The countryside retreat, near Aldington, called Goldenhurst, belonged to Noël Coward for more than 30 years and is where he wrote Blithe Spirit — inspiring Clary to pen Briefs Encountered, a homage to the playwright.

Not long now, Julian, before you can relax once more at your seven-bedroom home with its magnificent acre of mature gardens, as the Celeb BB final is this Friday on Channel 5.

Let Don Broco's videos put you In the Mood

British rockers Don Broco, who played last week’s Reading Festival, chose the magnificent Middle House (pictured) at The Grange in Ravensden, Bedfordshire as the location for their two latest music videos — watch Yeah Man on YouTube for a glimpse of the dining room.

The four-piece band, whose lead vocalist is Rob Damiani aren’t the first musicians to play at the four-bedroom mansion. The house, on the market with Chesterton Humberts (020 7594 4746) for £945,000, is best known for its Second World War role as a base for the US air force, and in 1944 big-band leader Glenn Miller, whose hits include In the Mood, gave his last performance there before his plane was lost over the English Channel.

R-Patz flees LA nest now that Kristen's departed

Twilight actor Robert Pattinson seeks a new dawn after his break-up with girlfriend Kristen Stewart, his co-star in the vampire films.

Pattinson, 26, who grew up in Barnes, has put the Los Angeles home that he shared with Stewart on the market for £3.9 million.

The luxurious, secluded property, which sits in an acre and a half of woodland, comes with a private cinema big enough to accommodate 150 people.

Of course, if the former Harrow School pupil, nicknamed R-Patz, plans to return to London, he is sure to receive a warm welcome home from his many British fans.

Changing Rooms presenter Oliver Heath revamps his own home

As the government rolls out the most extensive home refurbishment programme since the 1940s, known as the Green Deal, Changing Homes presenter Oliver Heath is leading the way for eco makeovers with his three-bedroom Brighton house.

He lives with his wife Katie and two daughters in a detached 1960s property that he has completely revamped, since it was purchased it in 2008, to incorporate features such as solar panels on the roof and a grand wood burning stove. CO2 emissions have been cut by 75 per cent.

“I was determined to show that even an ordinary home could be refurbished to create massive savings in the amount of energy used whilst still creating a warm, stylish and nurturing home for my family,” he says.
